Wildfire Afterschool

after school nature program in Ottawa

OUTDOOR School for 7-12 Year Olds

In our Wildfire Afterschool program, we run free, play hard, and reconnect with nature

This Pay-What-You-Can weekday program gives children the space they need after a structured school day—to move their bodies, breathe in fresh air, and reconnect through nature. With playful naturalist games, forest exploration, and hands-on wilderness skills, Wildfire invites kids to unwind, build friendships, and let their wild energy flow.

Whether we’re playing naturalist games in the meadow, exploring forest trails, or splashing in a nearby creek, each afternoon is full of movement, discovery, and connection.

Participants also build their wilderness skills and deepen their awareness of the natural world—all while strengthening friendships and confidence through teamwork and shared adventure. Wildfire is joyful, spirited, and wide open—just like the forest we play in.
