WHAT IS PRE-REGISTRATION AND AM I ELIGIBLE?
Pre-registration is offered to participants enrolled in the same program during the previous session.

CAN I REGISTER MY CHILD FOR MORE THAN ONE PROGRAM?
Yes! You're welcome to register for multiple programs if it works for your family.
HOW DO I DISCUSS MY CHILD MISSING A SCHOOL DAY WEEKLY FOR NATURE SCHOOL WITH THEIR TEACHER?
We’ve created a resource for teachers to help support this conversation. Email programs@earthpath.ca to request our “Information for Teachers” document.
CAN I REGISTER MY CHILD IF THEY ARE NOT WITHIN A SPECIFIC AGE RANGE?
If you believe your child would benefit from participating in a different age group, please contact us at programs@earthpath.ca. We will assess accommodation requests on a case-by-case basis.
DO YOU OFFER FINANCIAL SUPPORT?
Yes! We provide payment plans, bursaries, free programs, and Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) options. For more details, please visit our Affordability Information.
DO YOU CANCEL PROGRAMS DUE TO WEATHER?
We only cancel if travel is unsafe or there is a severe weather warning (e.g., ice storm, tornado). Otherwise, we run programs rain, shine, or snow—with appropriate adaptations.
ARE YOUR PROGRAMS ENTIRELY OUTDOORS?
Yes, our programs are conducted outdoors. However, we have access to a heated indoor space for emergencies or specific activities requiring additional shelter.
HOW DO YOU MANAGE INCLEMENT WEATHER?
We approach challenging weather as a chance to build resilience—with safety always as our top priority. Our educators are trained to adapt each day’s activities and monitor how participants are doing. Strategies include:
- Active games to stay warm
- Campfires and warming breaks
- Water-based activities to cool off in hot weather
- Frequent check-ins and access to dry clothing
- Shifting to sheltered areas when needed
Some discomfort is part of outdoor learning—but we’re here to help children feel safe, supported, and proud of their adaptability.
Affordability + Access
We’re committed to making nature education accessible to as many people as possible.
