Adult Wilderness Skills Program (ages 18+)

One weekend a month for 6 months, participants will learn wilderness and survival skills, hone their naturalist knowledge, and dive into pedagogical approaches and mentoring techniques through experiential learning and direct instruction.
Participants will deepen their relationship with the natural world, heighten their awareness, and grow a love for learning. For educators, parents, and outdoor enthusiasts.

- Shelter building
- Fire-making: fire-by-friction, fire structures, wood qualities
- Bird identification and bird language
- Plant and tree identification
- Wild edible plants and mushrooms
- Plant medicine and medicine-making
- Ecology and stewarding
- Wildlife tracking and trailing
- Basket-weaving, wood burning, and other nature crafts
- Stealth and camouflage
- Carving and tool-use
- Navigation
- Hide-tanning
- Nature journaling
- Pedagogy and mentoring techniques
- Naturalist and awareness games and activities
